We are always looking for like-minded people in our community who can temporarily foster rescued cats and kittens while they are awaiting adoption. This is a volunteer commitment which can vary from a few days to a few months.
For all fostered animals we supply the veterinary care, food, litter and other supplies. You supply the home and TLC! ♥ As a caregiver, you will also be asked to provide us with progress reports on your PPAR foster animal(s), to transport them to and from periodic events and appointments, to assist in the promotion of ones who are available for adoption, and to allow pre-approved adopters into your home to meet those adoptable cats and kittens. Foster caregivers are a valuable and essential part of our organization!
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age; must complete, sign and submit an application form, and undergo a screening process which includes reference checks, a personal meeting with our foster coordinator and a site visit to your home at your convenience.
All foster applications are subject to approval at the discretion of Pawed Pals Animal Rescue. Our goal is to ensure a suitable temporary home for every rescued cat and kitten. Every foster decision is made in the best interests of PPAR animals.
We will ask you to sign a foster contract once your application has been approved. Then we will offer placement of a cat or kitten (sometimes more than one) into your home based on their needs and your preferences and capacity for care. As a PPAR foster caregiver you will always have the right to refuse or accept into your home any animal offered by the foster coordinator.
We hope you will consider applying as a foster caregiver and opening your home to cats/kittens in need!
