Velvet went missing on June 7th from her foster home near the corner of Main and Strathnaver in Selkirk. Please contact Pawed Pals at (204) 481-1840 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or message us via Facebook if you spot her. Thank you!
Velvet is a beautiful black female cat who came into foster care last fall and is now ready for adoption and awaiting her forever home! She currently shares a loving foster home with her brother Suede (also available).
Both were born approximately May of 2016; putting them at almost 1 year of age as of this posting.
Velvet loves to pass her time watching the outside world through a picture window. Sunshine is a priority for this darling girl as she claims the coveted windowsill while her brother takes the back of the couch (bottom photo)! In another photo Velvet is curiously taking in the view while Suede is catching a snooze in the sun! Velvet also enjoys her kitten time – running, playing and wrestling with her brother!
She is shy and cautious around people but has come a very long way in the past few months with the love and care of her foster mom and the companionship of her brother. They were both quite scared of human contact when rescued last fall. Velvet was the more skittish of the two and can still appear timid around strangers. However, in the right home she will continue to make progress with the love and patience of a new family. Velvet would do best in a home with adults and older children.
